HKIAC Virtual Hearing Services: User experience and advice
In the 2021 Queen Mary University of London and White & Case International Arbitration Survey, inwhich HKIAC was the third preferred institution worldwide, respondents ranked support for virtual hearings as the most important adaptation that institutions can make. With the onset of the pandemic, HKIAC immediately pivoted to virtual hearing work by adapting its infrastructure and building a dedicated virtual hearing suite; recruiting expert IT staff with dispute resolution experience; arranging 24-hour support for all time zones; and issuing Guidelines with the aim to ensure our users can experience a seamless and effective virtual hearing.
